It is lovely to see the two dogs bonding and caring for each other, and I am happy it has all worked out well for them. But… there are ways of rescuing a dog, without shining a light in its eyes for a long time, then terrifying it with a leash as first point of contact, such as taking more time, offering it food, and speaking to it gently.
