  1. So glad you got the help you needed and so thankful for all those emergency workers who work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to make sure those who need care have it. Hoping your Christmas Day is beautiful, peaceful and kind! I so appreciate your work on this blog.

  3. Kristi, I am glad you are feeling better and can cocoon a little. You are a George Bailey to many, so enjoy the movie. I watched the end last night and spoiler alert, Clarence got his wings again. Merry Christmas. BTG

  4. I am so sorry to hear this as a fellow UC sufferer! I am on steriods now as well, but the trick is to get on maint drugs before you taper so that you dont get steriod dependent! Good luck with your journey! Xoxo

    1. I take Lialda daily and have not had a flare up this badly in over five years. So, I had one dose of IV steroids yesterday and was discharged with a four day supply of Prednisone, and luckily, I respond well to it. I hope that now that I am feeling better that I can get back on track with a better regiment on self-care and manage my stress better to keep it in remission. Sorry that you have this, too, but glad to know that I am in good company!
