  1. Beautiful words and so true. I try not to judge people but I know I do sometimes. We are all guilty of that. So happy your event went well and so glad Calvin got his special well deserved moment to be truly seen!!

    1. Sheila, thank you so much for your kindness and support! I, too, judge others, and it is something that I will continue to be more aware of and to work on overcoming. Thanks for all you do to see the Calvins of the world!

    1. Oh my gosh, you give me way too much credit, as Calvin and the other fine gentlemen are the true heroes. They are among the strongest, bravest, selfless, and kindest people I ever have had the honor and pleasure of knowing. May we all learn from them and do the good that they do in this world, even when the world hasn’t been so good to them!

  2. Beautiful and heartfelt. Shame is one of those topics that never grows old; we are all guilty of inducing it one way or another, albeit not by design. I appreciate the candor. It’s easy to see someone, and not really see them after all. Their eyes are windows into their world. We need to do more window shopping!
