Christmas Island crabs are forest-dwelling, but their offspring have to be hatched in salt water. So they mate in the forest and then the females march to the sea to fling eggs into the water. This type of bridge is also known as a wildlife corridor.
You know something, sometimes when humans decide they want to, they are actually capable of being decent creatures.
