This is one of the most heartwarming stories I have heard in a long time. It is from our friend Kristin, a mama to a 4-year girl and twin baby boys. Inspiring and touching. Please pass it on and spread the cheer. Pay it forward!
“Tonight was only the 2nd time Evan and I have braved dinner out with all three kids. When we got there, the place was packed. Once seated, a woman at the table next to us let us park our behemoth stroller next to her table. During dinner we took turns feeding the screaming boys, getting a few fast bites for ourselves in between. I looked up at Evan who said “Well, this definitely won’t happen again for a few more years”
When we finished, we strategized how we’d get all three kids home and in bed quickly.. I’ll load the kids in the car, you pay the bill. We packed everything up and asked for the check. The waitress came over with her hand on the bill and said, “About the check… the woman at the table next to yours paid. Everything is covered, even the tip.” We were stunned. The waitress smiled and told us she’d only heard of people doing that. I asked where the woman was because I wanted to thank her. But she was gone. The waitress told us not to worry. “I thanked her for you.That was very generous.” I picked up the bill and it had a note that read, “Happy Holidays! From a stranger paying it forward.”
