When he was in the middle of the highway I realized how big and scary it was…so I made my husband carry it to the car. As he tried to grab him the first time the turtle jumped about 3 inches. Scared the shot out of us.
We put him in the back of the car to take across the highway where he was going. That was a dump, I mean literally a landfill. So we took him out to the country to a friends farm and let him go there.
When I got dressed to go to the farm I wasn’t anticipating that I would be carrying a turtle that size at any point during the day. I only had the jacket on because we had to drive with the windows down because he smelled like sewage.” 🙂
