Kids’ capacity for kindness and “doing the right thing” never ceases to amaze me. It makes me want to follow suit. When I do see cruelty or poor choices (like stealing) rear its ugly head, I know it would not take more than a few choice and gentle words to change a young mind. Would that this were the case with adults, and the world at large! Thanks for sharing!

Yes, the little people are filled with innocence and a natural kindness which just flows outward. I have three young children and am carefully observing their reactions to each other and the world around them. Their wide eyed wonder, enthusiasm and caring natures fills me with hope 🙂

I feel fortunate that my own daughter, who is 14, can remain as kind as she is, in a world full of teenagers that frequently bully one another online and in school. She has just enough self-confidence to ignore meaningless comments, and has the sensitivity and compassion to stand up to bullies, even defending her friends with intelligence and common sense. I wish she could stay as innocent as that little boy, but at least she still holds on to her kindness toward others.
