‘They’ can claim that it’s humans erroneously projecting our own emotions on to animals all they want, but I don’t believe that ANYONE, man or beast, will put themselves through that much obvious pain and difficulty for anything short of love.
‘They’ claim it’s all instinct, and emotion has nothing to do with it… I say maybe ‘they’ are right, it IS all instinct… animals instinctively unconditionally love, it’s us humans who have trouble with it.
