This woman spent 3 hours holding the horse’s head above the tide after it got stuck in the mud on a beach in Australia. The horse was later rescued, unharmed.
This looks like the scene from ‘Never-ending Story’ and trudging through the bog of sorrow. It could be taken metaphorically as well as literally.
Inspirational story about the actual event and the woman helping the horse.
“Each time someone stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope.”
–Robert F. Kennedy
I sa this pic maybe last year or somewhere on the web. That was a hard lesson learned by the woman to not take any ground for granted unless you know the area very well.. Thank God the horse was rescued. They are marvelous creatures.

Wow, amazing. Denise Hisey sent me over here to check out this post. My heart stopped. I’m so glad the horse is okay, thanks to the kindness and courage of a woman. Love this.
This is such an inspiring, selfless and truly powerful picture. Incredible.
Thank you for sharing this and showing me that no matter how impossible something may seem, the hard work is worth it and that happy endings do prevail!
