It is a national disgrace that 1/3 of all homeless Americans are Vets. It is a disgrace that in this country that we can not put into progress programs that work toward all Americans having a safe roof overhead. People can not get jobs and get their lives and the lives within a community moving forward if they have no address and means to get and stay clean and have minimal food each day. The country has to care more, mainly the politicians have to care more and allocate funds toward community building and if that means stopping or cutting back on their pet programs that only benefit their biggest contributors, so be it.
Truly thoughtful and not enough of this is done in our society. Yet the question begs, how and where do the homeless store/cook/prepare a frozen turkey? The logistics confuse.
That’s a good question. I’m assuming these are going to a homeless shelter perhaps? Although how would they only allocate them to the vets? Hmmm…puzzling! 🙂
There should never ever be any such thing as a Homeless Vet…That is just truly Unpatriotic UnAmerican and Unsatisfactory …Let’s work hard to End the Homelessness in America PERIOD!
I agree with shelley…that is the most ridiculous thing. Truly Unpatriotic. SHAMEFUL. No one who puts their life on the line for their country should ever be homeless
What a wonderful thing to do.
