Kindness In the Deep

whale shark rescued by a diver's kindness
“While swimming in isolated waters 300 miles southwest of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, David Valencia spotted this 35-foot female whale shark ensnared in a line six inches thick that was digging into her skin and, given the growth of anemones and gooseneck barnacles, had clearly been there for a long time. Though worried she would swim away, his friend Dani was able to slowly approach her, grab hold of the line despite the strong current and eventually cut it off.”
