The turtle was spotted at Currumbin Beach on the Gold Coast Australia. It was struggling and getting knocked about by other boards and the waves so the kids all worked together to get him on to one of the soft boards and took him to the life guards who have called Sea World to come rescue the beautiful turtle and hopefully nurse it back to health.
UPDATE From Seaworld “The hawksbill turtle had suffered a blow to the shell with a possible broken rib bone. Will be X-Rayed on Friday to decide next course of action”
He was probably hit by a boat, poor lil guy.
That is incredible. I don’t suppose you know when this happened at all? I was at this beach a couple of days ago and heard some surfers talking about a turtle they could see out in the waves.
