There are so many occupations and services in this world that people take for granted. Delivery people are just one of them. Remembering to tip the people who deliver your food is important, it directly affects how much they make. So when delivery people get slighted, it’s a big deal.
The other night, a Reddit user delivered a pizza. The total was $22.67 and the couple receiving it gave him $23.00 and told him to keep the change. Less than a dollar on nearly a $25.00 bill is an abysmal tip. But then something awesome happened.
They dropped this card off the next day.
And although there wasn’t a cupcake inside, there was an equally awesome note.

Great story. I was reminded of a DJ who was asked what her biggest tip was when she delivered pizza. She did not hesitate and said $2. She said I know that does not sound like a lot, but she delivered a pizza to a family in a run down area and the kids were extra animated when she arrived. The mother explained that we don’t have much, but once a month we save and treat the kids to pizza. So, when the pizza delivery person turned to leave, the mother stopped her and said let me give you a tip. When the DJ tried to decline, she said no you work hard, so hear is a $2 tip. That was the most memorable tip she ever got.
