Have a student sit on chair in front of white board and have others write a positive phrase about them, then take a picture. Don’t let them see it…till they get the photo!

ok, i have done something similar, but not with the isolated chair. have the students put a paper on their desks- tape it down. then they are to go around to each desk and write a positive compliment for each student. obviously no one writes their names on these.
i have also used this with adults- having the adults walk around with something to write on on their backs- good if they have a coat on. do the same activity but everyone is walking around writing on everyone else’s backs instead of papers on chairs.
it is a good “classbuilding” exercise, as educationalese speakers might say.
