In this social experiment, unsuspecting people walked by relatives pretending to be homeless. Would they notice their family members? Or have the homeless become invisible? Watch how each person reacts after the big reveal in the video below.

This is a MUST-WATCH! It’s so sad what society has done to the homeless! They are NOT invisible and lepers of society! They are just like you and me! Show kindness and spread the Light!!!
I would be curious about this as well! It’s interesting how we can just ignore something so easily without econd though. Is it because it’s become commonplace or simply because we don’t care?

We are all family. May it not only be the homeless, but the feelings in our own hearts and spirits be more visible, felt, and present in ourselves and our world.

Wow. Thanks for sharing this today. That was literally eye-opening to watch.
As a kid, I used to try to talk to homeless people, hang out with them sometimes, smoke cigarettes and stuff. But I stopped that a long time ago. Now I notice myself telling my own kids to look away from homeless folks. What the hell happened to us as people? Me as a person?

Then the King will say to those on His right, “Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.”
Then the righteous will answer Him, “Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?”
The King will answer and say to them, “Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.”
Thanks for sharing this powerful and poignant video. I want to add one more story to make it live more. When we bring new Board members onto our agency that helps homeless families, we give them a tour of one of our temporary shelters and ask them to sign a confidentiality agreement. One of our new Board members (from a large banking employer) was doing her tour and came across a fellow employee, which floored her. Our homeless families have jobs and yet they are living paycheck to paycheck and a crisis pushed them out of their home. Truly, there but by the Grace of God go I. There are two great documentaries produced by HBO – one is called “American Winter” and the other is “Paycheck to Paycheck.” I would encourage everyone to watch them as they are very real. Thanks, BTG

This is chilling. We have generated an impossible economy to sustain. The people without jobs and homes are just the “canaries in the mines” whose “asphyxiations” we ignore at all of our perils.
i was once like the people shown in this video…i lived 40 minutes from nyc and as such, was there often. i was one of those that would walk by, maybe taking that quick glance but never thinking to stop and check on them. i have been volunteering with several groups in the orlando area that offer meals at various times throughout the week. over the last 2 years, my awareness of those that are homeless and on the streets have increased in ways i can’t begin to describe. now, when i see someone i know in my heart is homeless, i stop. even if i don’t have anything to give, i will stop and offer love and kindness. i give hugs. i ask their names and where they’re from. i let them know that someone does care.
thank you for sharing this video….i have shared it via facebook and will be reblogging it on my blog, “through the eyes of an angel”. God bless!!

words cannot express my thoughts and feelings after watching this video. it is definitely eye-opening if you aren’t aware of what the homeless see on a daily basis.
Wow!!! Simply WOW!!! This is amazing. Thank you so very much for sharing… My eyes are still wet, knowing I have not truly seen PEOPLE. Hugs, Sho

It is very interesting how we have become blind to what we do not wish to see.

I wonder how much we’re affected by our environment. Would this happen in some city with fewer people?
