I went through a period where I came to be with myself and to learn to be with myself–to discover myself. Of course, as it turns out, this made me better able to be with others.

this is amazing this video I regularly watch it and have for years. I posted it on a blog I used to have and will likely post it on my new blog because it’s…truth isn’t it.
It’s sad we live in a world where we have to be taught solitude – even for just a lunch break.

I agree, it is truth for sure. There can be so many distractions in life, so much noise, external and internal, so many websites and films and text messages and things and more things….silence and solitude, for me, is a blessing.
Hopefully more people can learn to appreciate the gifts that spending alone time offers…
