Great quote. I just came from another blog where the conclusion is “doing the right thing” in front of children and grandchildren is one the best lessons you could ever give. The converse is also true, so which lesson do you want to provide? Bigotry has to be carefully taught; treating others like you want to be treated can be carefully taught, as well.
So very true! People, especially children, tend to emulate what they see and hear, so, while perfection is not required of anyone, remembering the power of your words and actions is a must. May we all be an inspiration to someone else to give them hope and to teach them to be loving to themselves and others.
