I’ve had a rough three years since my husband was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia.
I was at the grocery store to buy myself a cake for my birthday tomorrow.
The man in front of me in the express line said, “That’s a good cake.”
I said I was buying it for myself for my birthday.
He picked up the cake, handed it to the cashier, and said, “I’m buying it for you” and he did.
I asked his name, it was Marco. Then he left.
I had tears of joy in eyes…a kind act from a stranger renewed my faith in human goodness.
