Birthday Cake Kindness From a Stranger

birthday cake kindness

I’ve had a rough three years since my husband was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia.

I was at the grocery store to buy myself a cake for my birthday tomorrow.

The man in front of me in the express line said, “That’s a good cake.”

I said I was buying it for myself for my birthday.

He picked up the cake, handed it to the cashier, and said, “I’m buying it for you” and he did.

I asked his name, it was Marco. Then he left.

I had tears of joy in eyes…a kind act from a stranger renewed my faith in human goodness.

  1. I’m so grateful this happened to you…and I’m also so grateful to be able to access this Kindness Blog to link with you and share that moment.

It’s been three years since my husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and the lewy body dementia issue is on my mind as well…

    Thank you for this…
